Sample Preparation:

A rectagle specimen of corrugated board is cut.

Loading:

The pins on the upper and lower assemblies are carefully insert to the flutes of the corrugated medium.

Testing:

The tensile tester or paper crush tester compress the jig apart at a constant speed. The force required to separate the liners from the corrugated medium is measured in Newtons per meter (N/m) or pounds-force per inch width (lbf/in).

Result:

This maximum force recorded is the Pin Adhesion Value, a direct indicator of the glue bond strength
